Elections
Every year, NCSC has two elections - Spring elections and Fall elections. Both elections are monitored by the Chief Returning Officer and the Deputy Returning Officer.
The Spring elections happen at the end of each school year to fill the majority of the Council for the next school year, while the Fall elections happen early in the next school year to fill the rest of the vacancies, including first-year & IFP positions.
In each election, candidates will be required to collect ten signatures to complete the nomination process and then participate in forum night, where all candidates will have a chance to pitch themselves to New College constituents. The voting will then happen, and the successful candidates will be ratified onto the council by the next Plenary Meeting.
If you are a passionate New College student looking to contribute to student life at New, keep an eye on our next election cycle.
We are currently in our spring election cycle. More information about the election can be found on our Instagram page or by clicking this link.
